The Dingle Crystal Masterclass
For guests who want to go beyond the tour.
The Masterclass is our most personal experience — a small, private gathering in the Dingle Crystal workshop where you'll cut your own piece of crystal alongside one of our master craftsmen. It's slow, hands-on, and quietly ceremonial. You'll leave with a piece you made yourself, a taste of the peninsula, and an afternoon you'll remember for a long time.

What to Expect
The story, first. Your afternoon begins with the story of Dingle Crystal — how it started, the craftsmen behind it, and the inspiration drawn from Celtic heritage and the landscape of the peninsula that shapes every piece we make.
Into the workshop. You'll then step into the workshop to meet your craftsman — the person who'll be at your shoulder for the next part of the experience.
A design, shaped by the craftsman. Before you step up to the wheel, he'll talk you through the design you'll be cutting
Hands at the wheel. Apron on. You'll take your place at the cutting wheel and, guided step by step, cut your own crystal ornament. Your craftsman will be beside you throughout, steadying the piece and the pace.
A drink, a whiskey, and a browse, When the work is done, we'll move back through to the store where you're welcome to browse at your own pace. You'll be poured a drink from our neighbours at Dingle Distillery — gin, whiskey, or something sparkling — alongside a board of cheese and cured meats from the Dingle Cheese Shop, and a tasting of Dingle whiskey served the way it's meant to be drunk: in Dingle Crystal glassware.
Your piece, to take home. You'll leave with the ornament you cut yourself, wrapped and ready to travel. And if you'd rather not carry it, we'll ship it home for you — complimentary, worldwide (normally €65)

- Once the date is set, we'll confirm your booking and send everything you need ahead of your visit.
Frequently Asked
Do I need any experience with crystal or craft?
None at all. Our craftsmen guide you through every step — most guests arrive having never stood at a cutting wheel and leave with a piece they're genuinely proud of.
Is the Masterclass suitable for children?
The experience is designed for adults, in part because it includes alcohol and use of workshop equipment. For family bookings, please get in touch and we'll advise.
Can we book privately for just our group?
Yes — private bookings for couples, families, and small groups of up to eight are very welcome, and often how the Masterclass is booked.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a little dusty. We provide aprons. Closed-toe shoes are best.

Dingle Crystal Workshop, Ballinaboula, Dingle, Co. Kerry — just on the edge of Dingle town, with parking on site.

Yes — worldwide shipping of your Masterclass piece is included in the price (normally €65). Shipping is also complimentary on any additional pieces you order on the day.
What's your cancellation policy?
We ask for as much notice as possible so we can offer the slot to someone else. Specific terms will be confirmed at the time of booking.
